The first part of this document is an economic action plan that sets out what the council will be doing to promote the economic prosperity of St Edmundsbury in the next five years.
The second part is an economic assessment that looks at the current condition of the borough and takes stock of the impact of the recession locally.
The third part shows the results of a survey of businesses in St Edmundsbury which demonstrates the current conditions being faced by businesses and the best ways in which the council can help them.
One of the council's main priorities is creating a prosperous economy; and two of its key commitments are shaping the future development of the borough and the wider area and responding effectively to the recession. This document sets out how we propose to do this.
