| | | | | How we tender The value of a contract determines the procedures that we must follow. The value determines how many quotes we need to obtain or whether a full tender process must be entered into. The quotation process (for contracts less than £50,000) involves officers obtaining two or three competitive quotations. The full tender process (for contracts greater than £50,000) is a more formal process. Where we advertise tenders To meet the council's constitution and the EC Procurement Directives, we are required to advertise tenders in relevant local publications and, for contracts above the relevant thresholds, in the Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU). All tender advertisements will be placed on this website. We place tender advertisements in local newspapers including: - Cambridge Evening News
- East Anglian Daily Times
- Bury Free Press
- Haverhill Echo
Advertisements may also be placed in appropriate trade journals. For a full tender process we are likely to ask you to complete a background questionnaire. This will ask you to provide details about your companies financial standing, capabilities, experience and where references can be obtained. You should thoroughly read any documents that are sent to you and complete as much information as possible where required.
