Good Friday to end of October Monday to Friday: 9.30am to 5pm
Saturday: 9.30am to 5pm
Sunday: 10am to 3pm
October to Good Friday Monday to Friday: 10 to 4pm
Saturday: 10am to 1pm
Bank holidays: 10am to 3pm
Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day

The Tourist Information Centre offers a range of services and information:

Please note: tourist information is also available in person from Bury St Edmunds Bus and Coach Station.

keyboard Internet Cafe - Get online at the Tourist Information Centre! It costs just £1 for 30 minutes and is available during normal opening hours.

Hot and cold drinks plus chocolate bars can be purchased.

  • Do you have guided tours of the town?
  • Enquiries about Shopmobility and scooter hire
  • Local people wanting information the holidays and breaks in the rest of the UK
  • What are the local attractions?
  • Where are the places to eat? This includes do we have … a fish and chip shop, a tea room, a pub with a garden or specific chain eating and drinking places, from both local people and visitors.
  • Where are the shops?
  • Where are the toilets?
  • Where can I park?
  • Where can I stay in the area?

All our staff are well trained and are in the process of completing the Enjoy England training programme. We have been finalists in the Suffolk tourism awards in 2006 and 2008 and we were regional finalists in the Awards for Excellence 2007.
