Art loan boxes (Key Stage 2, 3, 4) | Bead On. Created by art teachers, key stages 2-3 and 3-4. Two boxes for a complete year group project, for creating fashion pattern and surface decoration. All tools, beads and sequins are provided. (Loan period one term - £150 per box). |
Anglo-Saxon (Key Stage 1-2) | Using various original and replica artefacts, this box provides an introduction to the Anglo-Saxon way of life. This box also contains craftwork activities to suit a range of all ages and abilities. |
Roman (Key Stage 1-2) | Using various replica artefacts, this box provides an introduction to the Roman way of life. |
Flintnapping (Key Stage 1-2) | A resource box containing videos and books covering the history of flint working and usage from Neolithic times to the twentieth century. Accompanied by authentic flint items, for example arrows to gunflints. |
Victorian washday (Key Stage 1-2) | Using original and replica washday utensils and clothing, this box provides the discovery of the hard work of a Victorian washday. Follow up work can examine the lives of different social classes of the times. Large artefacts for example, a Posser or Mangle are available on request. |
Victorian toys (Key Stage 1-2) | By the use of replica and modern variations of Victorian books, toys and masks the games that were played in Victorian times can enhance the understanding of history. The packs contain small and fragile toys, therefore it is recommended that care is taken. Workshops available at Moyse’s Hall Museum. |
Victorian life (Key Stage 1-2) | By use of original and replica objects, classes can learn more about the way of life for an average Victorian. The pack contains clothing, farming tools and everyday household objects, as well as items relating to leisure time. |
World War II (Key Stage 1, 2, 3) | Bringing local events and world history alive through artefacts, replicas, posters, videos and facsimiles of documents. This pack contains items such as rations, black out curtains, helmets and bomb damage reports. |
Fossils and rocks; Science (Key Stage 3) | Created by a science teacher. This pack includes examples of ores, crystals and fossils as well as fact sheets, crosswords, making fossils, instructions and geological time scales. |
