Lackford village lies north west of Bury St Edmunds in the Lark valley. The village was important in Roman and Anglo-Saxon times.
On the edge of the village is Lackford Lakes, an award-winning nature reserve managed by the Suffolk Wildlife Trust, with several hides and plenty to see all year round.
Beyond that is West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village and a 52 hectare country park.
