Ixworth boasts many buildings of historical importance, including several in the high street. One is timber framed with two gables and pargetting. Others have attractive Georgian doorways. St Mary's Church is worth a visit as most of it dates from early mediaeval times and it houses several magnificent Tudor tombs.
