Hopton is on the B1111 in the north of Suffolk on the border with Norfolk. Thetford is the nearest large town, with Bury St Edmunds, Diss and Stowmarket all under 17 miles away. Although on the surface it is a quiet village it has a thriving community with bowls, gardening, amateur dramatics, youth clubs, three churches, a village shop and much more.
