The Heritage Service (which includes West Stow and Moyse's Hall) has received funding for a community access officer to continue the work of the Discover Your Past project in 2008.
Discover Your Past is a project which can help you and your community explore the past in ways which interest and appeal to local people.
Discover your past (PDF 1.9Mb)
It is about your community and interests and for all ages and community groups. Heritage is about you, your community, your area, your memories, your stories. It's all history, since time began to yesterday.
Discover Your Past involves people exploring their local or personal history in many ways:
- art, design, craft, technology
- collecting memories, oral histories, photographs and stories
- putting on community heritage days, events or exhibitions
- workshops and gaining new skills
- visits to local heritage sites
- But you and your community may have lots of ideas of your own!
Below are listed some of the projects that the Heritage Community Access Officer has been working on :
- Links Day Care Centre, Age UK
- The Graffiti Project
