Land at Crown Lane, Ixworth RA2 (b) - Draft Masterplan Consultation

Comments are being sought on the Draft Masterplan for the Local Plan allocation off Crown Lane, Ixworth RA2 (b).  The Masterplan will inform the preparation of development proposals for the site, to ensure that any issues affecting the interface areas between the site and existing development are appropriately considered. The consultation period runs until 11 August 2010. The draft Masterplan can be viewed and comments made online at: www.crownlaneixworth.co.uk

Tell us your views on Hanchett End Business Park Concept
The area of land at Hanchett End is an important gateway site on the western edge of Haverhill and has been earmarked for development in St Edmundsbury's Local Plan. St Edmundsbury is now asking for people's views on the concept statement which will eventually be used by developers or landowners to draw up a masterplan which will shape the project.

Policy consultation - Don't miss the opportunity to have your say!

St Edmundsbury Borough Council has carried out a review of its enforcement policy and would welcome your comments. This policy is an important document as it defines the principles that the council will follow when taking enforcement/regulatory decisions. This will ensure that decisions are consistent, fair and proportionate to the circumstances.

New houses Local Development Framework consultation

We are currently consulting on some documents which will help shape the future growth of St Edmundsbury. The Development Management document includes the policies which will be used to determine planning applications and the Site Allocations document proposes development sites in the rural villages. There is also a Proposals Map Book which shows key information in relation to specific settlements. We will be holding events across the borough so please come along and get involved.

Consultation on the council's proposed changes to Core Strategy Policy CS2, supporting text and the Proposals Map in relation to the Breckland Special Protection Area (SPA) designation.

Ixworth Conservation Area AppraisalIxworth Conservation Area Appraisal and Management Plan Consultation (PDF 1.5Mb) 

Views are being sought on a draft character appraisal which will be used to help protect the special nature of the Ixworth Conservation Area. As part of the appraisal, several amendments to the conservation area boundary are proposed.

Comments should be emailed to conservation@stedsbc.gov.uk or by post to the Conservation Team, Planning Policy and Specialist Services,
 Planning and Economic Development, St Edmundsbury Borough Council, Western Way, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk IP33 3YU.

You can discuss the draft document with the conservation officers at a drop-in session at Ixworth Library between 4 and 7pm on Tuesday 2 March. The document can also be viewed at the borough council offices in Western Way and Ixworth Library, High Street, Ixworth.
