Community Engagement Strategy |
| Aims and objectives |
At St Edmundsbury, we are committed to improving engagement with our local communities. The draft Community Engagement Strategy sets out how we will engage with all our communities to improve local services and help local people influence decisions by making sure they have the information necessary to make informed decisions. |
| Consultation summary |
We would welcome your views on any aspect of the draft Strategy as well as suggestions for areas for improvement, before it is formally considered and approved by our councillors. We will consider all feedback and ensure that, wherever possible, the final strategy is shaped by the comments we receive. |
| Fit with corporate objectives |
The importance of carrying out effective community engagement is reflected in all four corporate objectives. |
| Links to other council priorities and objectives |
Developing and implementing an effective community engagement strategy is included in the Council's Improvement Plan for 2009/10. |
| Outputs and outcomes |
In order to achieve effective community engagement we need to have in place structures that allow the right methods of engagement, with the right groups in order to achieve the right outcomes. Through this strategy we aim to engage with all individuals, groups and organisations. |
