The theatre re-opened in September 2007 following a two year restoration programme. It was built in 1819, is Grade 1 listed, and is the only surviving Regency theatre in England. It is owned by the National Trust and provides visitors with a wonderful theatrical experience. 

The Theatre presents a vibrant, year-round programme of drama, music, dance and light entertainment, featuring many of this country's leading companies and performers. They also offer a wide-ranging educational and community-based programme of activities.

Cineworld Bury St Edmunds, The Parkway, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk IP33 3BA The Cineworld Cinema opened to the public on Friday 18 November 2005 in Bury St Edmunds. The eight screen cinema offers cinemagoers traditional blockbusters, UK independent productions,  film festival winners and foreign language films.
