
BurySOUND 2007 was a sell out with an exciting competition showcasing the talent of young people within St Edmundsbury.
Heat one on 5 October 2007
Heat one saw Joe Carter compere the evening and he quickly whipped the crowd into a frenzy. BurySOUND saw four talented local bands playing. My Little Red Door kicked off the evening playing a brilliant first set to launch this year's competition. Persevere then played their set, followed by Thee Vicars who stole the show. The Setbacks continued the evening's ecstatic atmosphere. Thee Vicars and Persevere went on to play again in the final on 2 November.

Heat two on 19 October 2007
Heat two of this year's competition kicked off with guest band Serious Delirium playing an electric first set. The evening continued at a pace as Nevermind Tomorrow came on stage. High 5's All Round were next, and dropped an Arctic Monkeys track which sent the crowd wild. They were followed by Student, who played a fantastic 30 minute set which secured them a place in the final. The evening finished on a high after Blind Inspiration took to the stage, playing an amazingly tight set.

The final on 2 November 2007
The final of BurySOUND saw the best four performing bands from this year's heats take to the stage to battle over who took the winner's title and the prizes! Thee Vicars again entertained the crowd playing a brillant first set. High 5's All Round played a 40 minute stunner to the crowd and more importantly the judges. Persevere performed a fantastic set which continued the great atmoshere of the evening. Student's amazing set saw them score top points and take this year's tittle as battle of the bands winner. The Four Kicks played a guest slot while the points and votes were counted.
BurySOUND 2007 is an alcohol, drug and smoke free event for young people 13 years plus, Organised and run by St Edmundsbury Borough Council.
