The brook - East Town Park

Both Kingfisher and Grey Wagtail are regularly seen at the brook, along with the commoner moorhen and water voles, although now scarce, still occur.

Fish are usually in evidence during the summer months. Roach and Chub frequent the deeper areas waiting for the current to carry food items down to where they lie.

In late May and June it may be possible to see the dancing flight of the beautiful Banded Demoiselle Damselfly.
