Home Grown logoWould you like to bring exciting events to your community?

Home Grown is a new project intended to inspire and equip people and communities that organise, or might wish to organise, arts events in their local community. The project is managed by Creative Arts East, on behalf of all Suffolk local authorities.

There will be three special launch days for Home Grown, to be held in Coddenham, Newmarket and Ipswich. The days run from 10am to 4pm, and each will feature presentations, showcase performances and one-to-one advice surgeries. The launch days are free but booking is essential.

  • Saturday 23 January 2010 - Coddenham Community and Sports Hall, IP6 9SR.
  • Saturday 6 February 2010 - Palace House, Newmarket CB8 8EP.
  • Saturday 20 February 2010 - Town Hall Galleries, Ipswich IP1 1DH.

See the Home Grown leaflet (PDF 271Kb) for more details. To book a place, or simply to register your interest in Home Grown, please email admin@creativeartseast.co.uk or call 01953 713390.

There will be a designated Home Grown webpage going live very shortly; in the meantime, for more information about the project and services on offer, please visit the Creative Arts East website at www.creativeartseast.co.uk

Community groups are also welcome to contact Candida Wingate on 01986 799131, email candidawingate@btinternet.com for a chat about Home Grown - the project will run until April 2011 and offers lots of exciting opportunities to create and develop exciting arts events.
