Turning back towards the countryside centre, you can join the easy access trail.
This is a surfaced circular route of around 400 metres (about 370 yards) suitable for wheelchairs, pushchairs and people with reduced mobility.
With a modified picnic table, seating areas and a viewing platform overlooking the Stour brook, this path helps less mobile visitors to enjoy the sights and sounds of the park.
The wildlife pond was dug in 1994, attracting good numbers of frogs and toads in March and April.
Summer sees a range of dragonfly species present, including the impressive emperor dragonfly and many wetland wildflowers. Heron and kingfisher also visit.
