East Meadow - East Town Park

This features both recently planted and mature walnut trees, which are popular with the park's grey squirrels.

Early in the year you will see the clumps of snowdrops and yellow winter aconites beneath the trees.

The rookery is gradually increasing in size. There are now around one hundred nests each year, and nest building can start in late February if the weather is fine.
