BurySOUND celebrated its fourteenth year in 2011.
It was one of the best years of the competition to date with great local young bands and musicians.
Since 2010 BurySOUND has been located at the regions most impressive new music and performance venue, The Apex, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
On Friday 7 October the first round of East Anglia's best known battle of the bands competition took place.

We were pleased to announce that Lewis Mokler is BurySOUND 2011 Winner having played the most impressive show to the crowd and our industry expert judges.
Lewis won the competition but will also get £250 vouchers for music store Soundsplus, two days' recording at The Shrubbery Café and Recording Studios, and 100 CD duplication provided by Infallible Duplication. Lewis will be invited back to launch the next BurySOUND.
Runners-up from the final will win recording sessions at West Suffolk College and all the bands will receive vouchers for Soundsplus and a session at the Rehearsal Rooms.
BurySOUND 2011 is an alcohol, drug and smoke free event for young people 13 years and over held at the Apex, Bury St Edmunds.
