Varieties of birds include canaries, budgies, teal ducks, Bengalis and Zebra finches and diamond doves.
Bowling green
Tickets for bowling are available from the Abbey Gardens shop.
Bowling is available from April to October.
Charges:
- Adults: £3.50 per person per game
- Children (under 17 years of age and accompanied by an adult) £2.10 per child per game
- Off peak, (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays, between the hours of 12 noon and 2.30pm): £2.20 per person per game
- Hire of Bowls: £1.30 and £1 deposit per set of four
- Hire of Jacks: 80p and £2 deposit per jack

Kiosk
This is located near the aviaries and sells ice creams and light refreshments.
Putting green
Available from April to October between 9.30am and dusk, and is weather dependant.
Charges:
- Adults: £2.60 per player, per round and £1 per person deposit
- Children: £1.80 per player, per round and £1 deposit

Crazy golf
Available from April to October between 9.30am and dusk.
Charges:
- Adults: £2.85 per player, per round and £1 per person deposit.
- Children: £2.10 per player, per round and £1 per person deposit.

Tennis courts
Available all year round.
Charges:
- Adults £2.30 a court for an hour
- Children (under 17 years of age) £2.30 per court per hour
- Hire of racket £2 an hour and £5 deposit
- Hire of tennis balls (per set of four) £2 an hour and £5 deposit

Conservation volunteers
If you want to get outdoors and make a difference to your local park, then join the Abbey Gardens conservation volunteers. We have sessions running once a month in the Abbey Gardens on Wednesdays from 9.30am - 12.30pm. The first session is on 26 January 2011.
