Local people are being encouraged to discover the many aspects of light at an exciting exhibition taking place at Moyse’s Hall and Manor House museums in Bury St Edmunds, starting this weekend.
The ‘LightWorks’ exhibition consists of twelve interactive, hands-on activities illustrating the concept of light and how we can use it. Examples of some of the activities include mixing coloured light, bouncing light using a mirror in the Mirror Maze and making use of fibre optics.
Maggie Goodger, Museum Services Manager, comments:
“The exhibition is a great way for people of all ages to learn about something we all take for granted and have fun at the same time. It really is something that the whole family can have a go at so why not come along and have a go for yourself – you might learn something you didn’t know before!”
The exhibition opens on Saturday 28 February at the Manor House Museum from 11am-4pm and will run until Sunday 29 February from 11am-2pm. It will continue at Moyse’s HallMuseum on Saturday 3 April and Sunday 4 April from 11am-4pm
Normal admission applies to both museums, free entry for St Edmundsbury borough residents. For more information please contact Moyse’s Hall on 01284 706183 or the Manor House Museum on 01284 757076/74.
