Albert Crescent, in Bury St Edmunds, is due to close for up to five days from Monday, 6 August.
Around ten metres of the road from its junction with Queens Road will be shut while work takes place to connect a sewer.
Diversions will be put in place during the closure, which takes place between 7am and 5pm.
The road will remain open to cyclists and pedestrians throughout.
