Views sought on Hanchett End employment development

30 June, 2010

Local people are being consulted on development plans for Hanchett End, Haverhill. The consultation runs until 30 July with a special drop in event to be held from 3.30pm to 7pm on Wednesday 7 July at St Edmundsbury Borough Council Offices in Lower Downs Slade.

An area of land at Hanchett End, on the west side of the town, has been earmarked for employment development in St Edmundsbury's Local Plan. The borough council has now created a concept statement for the site, which will eventually be used by developers or landowners to draw up a masterplan which will shape the project. The full concept statement is available at St Edmundsbury's offices in Lower Downs Slade or at www.stedmundsbury.gov.uk.

St Edmundsbury is now asking for people's views on the concept statement before it is discussed by councillors.

Anyone who would like to make a comment can fill in a form downloaded from the website and email it to LDF@stedsbc.gov.uk or can write to Planning and Economic Services, St Edmundsbury Borough Council, West Suffolk House, Western Way, Bury St Edmunds, IP33 3YU.
