There is a packed programme of talks, walks and visits in Bury St Edmunds, during Architecture Week, 15-24 June 2007.
The programme explores work carried out to ancient and lovely buildings, including a visit to the 17th century Malthouse Project in Risbygate Street, Bury St Edmunds, and the story behind the St Edmundsbury Cathedral tower. It also offers an update on the current Cattle Market development – architecture for the future – and a chance to discover a wealth of hidden architectual details in this historic market town.
The aim of the week is to encourage everyone to learn more about architecture and to understand their own role in improving the environment through architecture.
A leaflet containing full information of all events is available from the Tourist Information Office, telephone 01284 764667.
