A two day workshop, led by acclaimed Brazilian artist Lupe Cunha, is being held at West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May. Angles on Art is linked to the ‘Women by Women’ exhibition, showing at Moyses Hall until February 2010 , and is open adults and accompanied children aged ten years plus.
The event is held in the rigorously reconstructed village. The first day focuses on exploring how women may have lived in Anglo-Saxon times, using a variety of artistic techniques, including photography. On day two participants will spend time in the ‘first’ English village and create their own masterpieces under the supervision of Lupe Cunha. Participants can bring their own materials, or they can be provided at a small cost.
Tickets for Angles cost £25, including lunch and refreshments. Booking is essential. Please call 01284 728718 to reserve a space and for further details.
