UV Bury 2 – Return of the Glo

21 August, 2009

A local band event organised by young people for young people is returning by popular demand. UV Bury 2- Return of the Glo, has been created as a sequel to the first hugely successful event and will be held from 7.30 to 11pm on Friday 11 September at the Corn Exchange, Bury St Edmunds.

The young people organising the event have booked popular local bands, (most of which have young people as members) to play at the event.

Bands playing on the night are:

  • Tell It To The Marines
  • Ten City Nation
  • Ascendia
  • Protect The Target

16 year-old Joseph Weaver from Toonteen Industries who is one of the organisers says:

"After last January's UV Bury it is great to be back by popular demand for round two! It was such a success allowing teenagers from different backgrounds to gather and share common interests, and also for local bands to showcase their talents in front of fresh young audiences. UV Bury 2 promises more of these talents, from the best local up-and-coming bands, with the added DJ element and a splash of UV lighting to top off the night! It's an event not to be missed."

Tickets costing £4 are available now from Bury St Edmunds Bus Station and Soundsplus, All ticket costs help to fund more projects for young people within the Bury St Edmunds area. UV Bury is supported by St Edmundsbury Borough Council.
