Shoppers in Bury St Edmunds will get the perfect chance to pick up last minute stocking fillers and gifts at a Christmas Eve market taking place in the town – while the usual Saturday market will also go ahead.
Shoppers visiting the town on Saturday will be given the chance to park and ride into the town centre from Kempson Way in Moreton Hall. Buses will run every 15 minutes between 10am and 6pm, with the last bus leaving at 6pm. The service costs £1.50 for each carload of people.
And residents living in the borough will also have their bins collected at different times over the Christmas period. Collections will take place at the following times:

St Edmundsbury’s offices at Angel Hill and Western Way in Bury St Edmunds, and at Lower Downs Slade in Haverhill, will close for Christmas at 4pm on Friday, 21 December and reopen at 9am on Monday, 31 December. The offices close again on New Year’s Day, but reopen at 9am on Wednesday 2 January.
