The results of the by-election to fill the vacant Eastgate ward seat on Bury St Edmunds Town Council were:
Roy Bebbington (Abolish Bury Town Council 147 votes
Clifford Lionel Hind (Labour) 81 votes
Christopher Lee Turner (Conservative) 190 votes (elected)
The turnout was 25.4%
