Possible disruption to services

16 March, 2005

Along with other councils throughout the country St Edmundsbury has been notified by a number of trade unions that it is their intention to take industrial action over changes to the Local Government Pension Scheme.

The first national strike day is planned for Wednesday 23 March. It is not possible to judge exactly what impact a strike may have on St Edmundsbury's services - every action will be taken to keep any disruption to a minimum.

Anyone experiencing problems with our services on Wednesday can call this number

01284 757675

which will have a recorded message on that day, updated as and when information becomes available. Information will also be available on our website: www.stedmundsbury.gov.uk
