The closure of Abbeygate Street in Bury St Edmunds to traffic on Sundays will now commence from Sunday 5 September.
This means that Abbeygate Street will be closed to traffic from 6am on Saturday and will not reopen again until 7am on Monday.
Traffic crossing Abbeygate Street from High Baxter Street into Hatter Street and from Lower Baxter Street into Angel Lane will still be permitted. Provision will be made for businesses carrying out maintenance work and for stock delivery and collection in Abbeygate Street.
