On Thursday 31 May, Moyse’s Hall Museum in Bury St Edmunds will play host to tales of the unexpected, by looking at the witchcraft items in the collection. The tour will include some background into witchcraft in East Anglia and also provide an opportunity to have a closer look at artifacts displayed in the crime and punishment area at Moyse’s Hall. This talk is included in the normal admission but booking is advised as spaces are limited.
From earliest times people have tried to protect their homes from evil spirits. Why were shoes and cats kept in walls? How did you know if someone was a witch? To find the answers and more you will need to book a place by contacting Moyse’s Hall on 01284 706183.
The event starts at 2.30pm.
