At this time of year many visitor attractions are closed for the winter and will not re-open until March or April. This can leave people rather short of options when deciding how to entertain visitors, children or even themselves!
However, West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village is open daily throughout the year from 10am to 5pm (last entry 3.30pm), with only a brief Christmas closure from 17 to 28 December inclusive. Furthermore, the country park at West Stow is open 9am to 5pm every day of the year including the Christmas period, providing a welcome alternative to Christmas shopping and an opportunity to walk off all those mince pies! The car park, play area, toilets, footpaths and bird hides will all remain open for visitors to use and enjoy. And if you're in need of a warming drink or light meal, you'll be interested to know that the café at West Stow will be open 11am to 4pm everyday except 22 to 28 December inclusive.
Please contact the visitor centre on 01284 728718 or weststow@stedsbc.gov.uk for further details.
