Bank Holiday visitors to West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village on Monday 31 August can journey to a realm inhabited by gods, myths and monsters in the company of professional, costumed storyteller The Yarnsmith of Norwich.
Throughout the day The Yarnsmith will conjure spell-binding tales of heroism and adventure, taking in a re-working of the Anglo-Saxon poem Beowulf, the exploits of Thor and his cohorts, as well as some lesser known Scandinavian and Germanic folk tales, some of which may have been familiar to the original occupants of West Stow.
Visitors inspired by these tales of derring-do can also try their hand at archery for small additional charge.
West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village is open every day from 10am to 5pm with last admission at 4pm. Admission prices for 'Gods, Myths and Monsters' are £6 adults, £5 children/concessions, £17.50 family ticket.
