This summer why not discover the delights of East Anglia by booking a coach trip with the Tourist Information Centre (TIC), with pick-up points from a number of locations throughout Bury St Edmunds and the surrounding villages.
The TIC has got together with Mil-Ken Travel to put together a programme of day trips to tourist attractions that are not readily accessible by public transport. The ‘summertime specials’ will run every Thursday in August and collect people from the town centre, local estates such as Moreton Hall, Howard and Westley as well as many of the rural areas and villages on the way, so it’s straight from your door to your destination!
Excursions include afternoon tea at the Queen’s retreat at Sandringham, pack your bucket and spade for a traditional day at Hunstanton, visit Norfolk’s largest working military museum at Muckleburgh or experience a day in the quintessentially English town of Southwold, plus many other places.
You can make a booking through the TIC who will send you an information pack to make the best of your day out. This will include details about Shopmobility schemes at your destination, wheelchair access, places to eat, vouchers plus lots more. The TIC is looking to roll out a similar scheme from Haverhill next summer.
Trips start at £11 with reduced rates for senior citizens and children under 16. Call the TIC on 01284 757083 for more information.
