It was all down to the last five bands in the third round of the BurySOUND competition on Friday 4 November, but who will join Where’s Jonny? and the Khe Sanh Approach in the finals later this month?
With the bands in heats one and two setting such a high standard, the groups competing on Friday night had a lot to live up to and they certainly followed through.
There were professional, passionate and energetic performances from all five bands on the night and their enthusiasm really got the crowd going. As always though, there could only be one winner going through to the final heat. After a quirky and entertaining performance, Out Patience came out on top and will go through to the finals on Saturday 26 November.
With the line up for the finals now complete, make sure you don’t miss out on what looks set to be a lively night when the best band from each heat competes for first prize. You can be there to see all the bands battle it out by getting your ticket now, before they all sell out!
Doors will open at 7.30pm and tickets cost £5 in advance or (£6.50 on the door) from the Bury St Edmunds coach and bus station, Hardcore Hobbies, MVC, Sounds Plus and Sunrise (all in Bury St Edmunds). Credit card line – Tourist Information Centre on 01284 764667 (£5.50 including booking fee).
