Members of the West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village Trust along with councillors and staff from St Edmundsbury Borough Council, will now be attending a farewell event to mark the retirement of Dr Stanley West at West Stow Country Park at 2.15pmon Sunday 11 July (not 3pm).
The farewell event will include a presentation of thanks to Dr West for his work in overseeing the excavation of the Anglo-SaxonVillage at West Stow and contribution to the reconstruction of the Village. The dedication of the West Stow Celebration Stone which was planned for the 11 July has been postponed and will not form part of the celebrations on this date.
