Daredevils walking blindfolded around the ‘double wheel of death’ and a chainsaw carver creating a unique sculpture from a hunk of wood will be amongst the entertainments at the fun-packed Nowton Park Country Fair.
The annual event, which is now in its 17th year, takes place on Sunday, 18 June and runs from 11am to 5pm. Morris dancers, majorettes, martial artists and gym club members will all be on hand to amaze the crowds, while a wide range of craft and trade stalls, catering stands, inflatables and other attractions will complete the line up.
The wow factor in the two arenas will be provided by Daniel Cordell, one of the UK’s most talented young chainsaw carvers, and the mind-boggling Vander Brothers, who will walk blindfolded around the outside of the highly dangerous double wheel of death.
An average 12,000 people visit the event each year. Entrance is free for people arriving on foot, but those in cars will be asked to pay a £3 parking charge.
