Staff who have been with St Edmundsbury Borough Council for at least 25 years will be presented with long service awards on Tuesday (10 August).
The presentations to staff from the Bury St Edmunds and Haverhill offices will be made by the Mayor of St Edmundsbury, Cllr Michael Jones. He will be presenting awards to:
Richard Whitehead, Principal Environmental Health Officer
John Orchard, gardener, Haverhill Depot
Betty Albon, Corporate Property Officer
Pamela Stevens, Senior Payments Officer
One other long-serving member of staff, toilet attendant Gloria Lightfoot, is unable to attend on that day and will be given her award at a later date.
The Mayor, Cllr Michael Jones, said:
"It is an honour to be able to present these awards to people who have diligently served the public in various ways for so long. The efforts of council staff often go unnoticed so I am pleased that we can recognise all their hard work over so many years in this way."
