The car park at St Edmundsbury Borough Council’s offices in Western Way will be open to the public from 4pm weekdays from the beginning of April.
At present private cars can park there from 6pm, Monday to Friday. The change in times should help people using the nearby Leisure Centre and other visitors to businesses in Western Way. Cars can also park at the council offices all day Saturday and Sunday.
Yellow no parking lines will be introduced along Western Way in the coming months to stop hold-ups during the day, Monday to Saturday.
