UV Bury 09

6 January, 2009

Fire breathers, jugglers, a parkour tricking team, and local DJs will all be appearing at UV Bury 09, a party organised by and for young people at the Corn Exchange in Bury St Edmunds, from 7.30 pm to 11pm on Friday 9 January.

Tickets costing £3 are available from Bury St Edmunds Bus Station, Soundsplus and the Tourist Information Centre, all in Bury St Edmunds

The young organisers have booked popular local bands, (most of which have young people in them), to play at the event. Bands playing on the night are BurySOUND 08 winners’ Head Full’; ‘The Empires’; ‘It’s Not Me It’s You’ and ‘A Fear Most Fatal’.

16 year-old Joe Weaver, from record label Toonteen Industries says,

"It’s a real pleasure to know that Bury’s young bands actually have an event to play at that will actually be attended by their peers. Teenagers in Bury often do not have many things to do and it’s good to know that teenagers are doing something productive with their time, whether they be organising, helping advertise, or even performing."
