Parts of Whiting Street in Bury St Edmunds will be closed from Monday 13 March while contractors dig trenches for communication cables.
The road, from Churchgate Street to Westgate Street, will be closed for up to a week. Diversions will be along Churchgate Street, Guildhall Street and Westgate Street.
Whiting Street from Abbeygate Street to Churchgate Street will remain open.
