Centros Miller, the company behind the Cattle Market development, has donated £5000 towards the cost of Christmas lights in Bury St Edmunds. The money will be used to boost the impact of the Christmas lights throughout the historic core of the town.
Tony Williams, Development Manager of Centros Miller, said: “Bury St Edmunds is a wonderfully attractive place to visit at any time of year, but at Christmas it’s magical and we hope that this contribution will help to make the lights even better this year. During the planning stages of our scheme for the Cattle Market, we said that we would support and promote the whole town centre once the development got underway. But we want to start that process much earlier, and this donation plus the new ‘More heart’ on-line promotional guide to the town centre represents the beginning of a long term commitment to the town.”
Bury St Edmunds Town Centre Manager Nick Martin said: “Making Bury St Edmunds attractive to traders and visitors alike is vital over the Christmas period and this donation marks the developer's commitment to the town's historic core. It's an excellent example of everyone working together to bring "more heart" to the centre of town."
