The Christmas Fayre is lovely, wish you were here

2 June, 2004

It may seem a little premature to launch Bury St Edmunds’ first Christmas Fayre at the beginning of June, but the organisers want to raise awareness to the event so that potential stall holders and visitors can either apply for a stall space or jot the dates down in their diaries. And what better way to launch it than with the production of a Christmas Fayre postcard – very seasonal!

On Tuesday 8 June at 11am, the Mayor of St Edmundsbury, Councillor Mike Jones and the Mayor of Bury St Edmunds, Councillor Frank Warby, accompanied by some special guests, will be launching the Fayre by giving out the new postcards outside the Abbeygate on the Angel Hill, Bury St Edmunds.

You are invited to send a photographer and reporter along to see the launch.

For more information on the Fayre, please see the attached flyer. If you require further information, please contact the Fayre’s organiser, Justin Wallace, St Edmundsbury Borough Council’s Tourism Manager, on 01284 757094 or email justin.wallace@stedsbc.gov.uk
