On 4 September, St Edmundsbury Borough Council's Deputy Mayor, Cllr David Lockwood, and Cllr Terry Clements will present the Millennium Farm Trust with a cheque for £100 for winning the best themed stand at this year's Nowton Park Fair.
The theme for the fair was the Magna Carta and the Millennium Farm Trust stand showed how farming would have been in medieval times.
Cllr Terry Clements says: "Staff on the Millennium Farm Stand had really gone to town dressed in period costume and getting out and about mingling with the public. They had also created special farming displays linking with the time of the Magna Carta and their enthusiasm was contagious so they really deserved to win for going that extra mile."
The Millennium Farm Trust is a registered charity that offers work and training opportunities on a farm to people who have learning difficulties.
