Information about Healthy Homes Grants will be handed out - along with free energy-saving light bulbs - at displays in Bury St Edmunds and Haverhill next week.
The display in Bury St Edmunds will be on Angel Hill on Wednesday 27 July and then on Haverhill market two days later, Friday 29 July.
Grants of up to £3000 are available from St Edmundsbury to help people keep their property in good repair so they can stay in their homes in safety and warmth. St Edmundsbury residents are eligible if they own their own homes and receive an income related benefit or disability benefit. The grants can cover work such as security devices, new boiler, cavity wall and loft insulation, thermostatic radiator valves, minor adaptations for disabled occupants and small works to repair the fabric of the building.
