A licence is required for a sex cinema or sex shop. Applicants should consult Schedule 3 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 for definitions and further guidance. The application will need to be advertised in a local newspaper and on site. A copy of the application must also be sent to the local Police. There will be a 28 day consultation period during which time comments may be received.
