St Edmundsbury Borough Council is working with Suffolk ACRE
to launch a new initiative for village halls.

One aim of this new venture is to provide a dedicated website for
the promotion of local village halls. Parishes have been given the
opportunity to publicise their hall on the internet site, at no cost.

Not only will this be a useful resource for those people wishing to
quickly obtain contact details of the booking secretary, key holder,
and so on, but  it may also mean that more people will come across
your village hall when searching the internet, which could lead to
an event booking.

Representatives from villages in St Edmundsbury that have
a village hall or community centre attended an induction
event on 3 March 2009. Attendees were given an overview of the
project and a demonstration of the website and its capabilities, in
addition to discussions.

Take a look at the website and add your hall's details!

Please note: the website is still being developed and some halls are still to add their details.
