St Edmundsbury aims to continuously improve the way in which we deliver services to residents, businesses and visitors.
We have a number of plans and policies covering a range of issues, such as equality and diversity, and plans, such as the Corporate Plan, which guide us by setting out our priorities and how we deliver services. Some of these plans and policies are required by central government and others have been developed by the council to meet local needs.
To check our performance we use national and local data to help us to monitor how our services are performing. Our performance indicators are regularly reported to councillors.
We also look to improve our performance through external challenge – people from outside the council coming to look at how we operate and suggest ways of improving.
