Parish Plans

Consultation event at Suffolk Acre

By the end of 2007, 19 parishes had completed a Parish Plan in St Edmundsbury and five parishes are currently working on them.

Parish Plans are documents which include information about how residents would like to see their parish or village develop in the future.

These plans are the result of lots of consultation with residents to find out exactly what they want, and not what people think they want.

To find out more about these plans please visit Suffolk Acre's webpage on Parish Plans

If your village would like to complete a Parish Plan, please contact Suffolk Acre who will be able to guide you through this interesting and rewarding process.

Their contact details are below.

Rural Action East logo

Rural Action East has received a donation from ITV Community Grant for Parish Planning.

Rural Action East intends to use the donation to help community groups starting out the Parish Plan process. The aim is to kick start the process by giving communities a one off fixed amount of £500 to pay for simple expenses at the early stages.

See www.ruralactioneast.org.uk  for more details.
