Bury St Edmunds Eastern Relief Road

13.38 The area to the east of Bury St Edmunds is continuing to experience high levels of development which means increased pressure on the existing road network. Fitting development in with new public transport services and other sustainable modes of travel is a priority. Existing and proposed employment uses in this area require easy access to the primary road network with a minimal impact on the local environment. It is proposed to construct a relief road between Mount Road, Bedingfeld Way and the proposed A14 Rookery crossroads interchange. The cost of construction will be met through developer contributions and planning obligations.
