Energy Care scheme
Energy Care is working closely with St Edmundsbury Borough Council to substantially increase the number of well insulated homes in the area by offering a range of grants for loft and cavity wall insulation. Having your home properly insulated will conserve energy, save money on your heating bills (up to 60%) and benefit the environment.
This scheme is available to all householders, even if you work or have a private pension. However, the scheme is completely free to everyone over the age of 70 or anyone on a qualifying benefit. Warm Front scheme
Warm Front is a government-funded scheme which provides grants to make your home warmer, healthier and more energy-efficient.
There are various types of grants available to improve energy efficiency; however, some do require you to be in receipt of a benefit. For further information please see Keep Warm Keep Well (PDF 373Kb)
