The Corporate Plan is one of our most important documents as it:
- sets a clear direction;
- identifies our priorities; and
- helps us to plan our work and set budgets.
The ten year Corporate Plan explains what we should be doing to tackle the issues which are important to people living, working and visiting the area. Some issues we can deal with on our own, but other challenges can only be overcome by working in partnership with other organisations.
All the services which we provide to residents, visitors and businesses are valued. We want to keep improving but we can only make so many changes at any one time and so we have to decide which issues are most important. The plan gives us a clear direction so that we can meet local needs and set priorities which influence what we do and decisions about our budget.
The Corporate Plan also reflects our contribution to the Western Suffolk Community Strategy (PDF 1.3Mb) and the Suffolk Local Area Agreement; documents which also set out a vision for the future, together with a programme of priorities that some local organisations are working towards.
We hope that you find the plan useful and informative. If you do have any questions, please contact the Strategy and Performance team on 01284 757614 or email strategy.performance@stedsbc.gov.uk and we will do our best to help.
